MONTREAL, QUEBEC–(Marketwired – July 21, 2016) – The management of SIRIOS (TSX VENTURE:SOI) is pleased to announce that diamond drilling has restarted on the CHEECHOO gold property neighboring the Éléonore gold mine of Goldcorp at Eeyou Istchee James Bay, Quebec. Sirios plans to complete 10,000 metres of drilling for this summer-autumn 2016 campaign. A drill is currently operating on the property while a second one will be added in around three weeks.

The scheduled drill holes will test, among other things, the extension of the gold zone intersected by drill hole 52, extensions of some gold zones located in the tonalite or, in meta-sedimentary rocks as well as several other targets located along the contact between the two lithologies.

Other fieldworks

In addition to the drilling program, mechanized stripping fieldworks are currently underway in order to allow detailed mapping and channel surface sampling. Prospecting as well as soil sampling are also undertaken on some sectors of the property.

The CHEECHOO gold project is located in Eeyou Istchee James Bay, Quebec, 800 km north of Montreal and less than 10 km from the Eleonore gold mine of producer Goldcorp that has begun production in 2015. Sirios has recently increased its interest to 100% in the property.

Neither the TSX Venture Exchange nor its Regulation Services Provider (as that term is defined in the policies of the TSX Venture Exchange) accepts responsibility for the adequacy or accuracy of this release.
