MONTREAL, QUEBEC–(Marketwire – Aug. 5, 2009) – SIRIOS RESOURCES INC. (TSX VENTURE:SOI) and DIOS EXPLORATION INC. (TSX VENTURE:DOS) announce a significant lithium occurrence discovery on their PONTAX property in James Bay, Quebec. This discovery is deemed important by both SIRIOS and DIOS geologists considering the observable size of the mineralization on surface. A swarm of at least a dozen pegmatitic spodumene (silicate lithium mineral) dykes each varying between one to five meters in thickness outcrops on surface. These outcrops, which cover an area of around 25,000 m2, suggest that the swarm of mineralized pegmatites extend at least 350 to 400 metres in strike-length by 50 to 100 metres in thickness. This mineralized zone remains open on strike and in depth considering the sub-vertical dip of the dykes. The lithium mineralization in the pegmatites is composed of 15 to 50 % multi-centimetre crystals (up to 40 cm long) of spodumene disseminated or concentrated in the central part of the multi-metre dykes. This new occurrence is located approximately 30 km south of the Cyr lithium showing, which is currently being explored by Lithium One Inc.

The primary assay results of the pegmatites are as follows:

Further assaying is currently in progress in order to measure not only lithium, but also tantalum, cesium, and niobium grades.

The recent prospecting on the property was a follow-up on preliminary observations made by the geologists during a 2007 programme that focused on silver and gold exploration. In 2006-2007, SIRIOS had discovered a high grade silver zone; the new lithium occurrence is located at around 9 km from that zone.

The PONTAX property consists of 577 claims covering around 300 km2. It is located at around 350 km north of the town of Matagami along the paved road going to the town of Radisson. SIRIOS and DIOS expect to separate about 25 claims in order to create a new lithium property, and will each hold an equal share, with SIRIOS as operator.

Lithium has been gaining more attention worldwide as interest in battery powered vehicles increases. Lithium is mainly used in the production of batteries, lubricating grease, ceramics, and enamel.

Some samples were assayed at the ALS-Chemex laboratory in Val d’Or, Quebec, and others at the SGS laboratory in Lakefield, Ontario.
