MONTREAL, QUEBEC–(Marketwire – Sept. 13, 2010) – SIRIOS RESOURCES INC. (TSX VENTURE:SOI) announces results from the summer prospecting program in the northern portion of its silver and gold PONTAX property, James Bay, Québec. The regional prospecting program delineated a 10 km area of interest which includes, among others, a centimetric gold bearing quartz vein (up to 30 cm in width) with the first sample yielding 11.6 g/t in gold and 42.7 g/t in silver (July 5th, 2010 Press Release). Seven additional samples taken on from this vein, which outcrops over a 60-metre length, graded between 0.5 g/t and 26.1 g/t in gold averaging 9.5 g/t and between 0.5 g/t and 87.0 g/t in silver with an averaging 24.5 g/t.

Furthermore, two outcrops hosting pluri-metric quartz veins, veinlets and quartz stockworks were discovered. In each location, a main pluri-metric quartz vein is bordered by a quartz veinlets stockwork zone over an additional ten metres or so. Fifteen samples from these zones graded between nil and 0.3 g/t in gold and between nil and 3.3 g/t in silver. These outcrops, 230 meters apart, are themselves located 3.7 km away from the first gold bearing vein described above. All these veins seem to be part of the same structural system associated to a fault trending northwesterly.

This new gold potential area is in addition to the silver-zinc zone located 10 km further west and discovered in 2006 by SIRIOS which shows at some places very high silver grades reaching up to many kilograms per tonne of silver.

During the 2010 summer program, close to 175 rock grab samples were collected and shipped to the Val d’Or ALS CHEMEX laboratories for gold (AA23) and 45 elements (AA45) assaying.

Prospecting for precious metals (silver and gold) was undertaking on the northern portion of the property, which includes a group of around 50 claims that were acquired last year and covered by an airborne magnetometric survey completed last winter. This region of the property borders the Anatacau – Wabamisk property of Virginia Mines (TSX: VGQ), who announced drilling results last April that included a section yielding up to 46.5 g/t Au (uncut grade) over 4 metres on the Isabelle showing.
