MONTREAL, QUEBEC, CANADA–(Marketwire – Sept. 24, 2008) – SIRIOS RESOURCES INC. (TSX VENTURE:SOI) announces encouraging results from the short sampling program which was recently undertaken to follow-up on the showings in the RS and the Plateau regions on the KUKAMES gold property in the Opinaca region in James Bay, Quebec. At these two areas, respectively three outcrops were track-sampled. On the Plateau-2 outcrop, the best results are as follows: 2.44 g/t Au; 1.65 g/t Ag; 22 ppm Bi and 0.14% W (Tungsten) over 2.0 meters as well as 0.71 g/t Au; 0.6 g/t Ag; 0.7 % W over 1.0 meter. The Plateau-1 and 3 outcrops yielded respectively up to 0.24 g/t Au and 0.30 g/t Au, both over 1.0 meter.

In the RS area, where up to 3.79 g/t Au (grab sample) and 1.76 g/t Au over 2.0 m were obtained in 2007, 2008 track-samples returned grades varying from 0.13 g/t Au to 0.37 g/t Au over 1.0 meter.

The gold showings on both the RS and Plateau areas are associated with a deca-metric drag-folded sulfurized “silicate iron formation”/ “garnet-rich amphibolite” unit. According to SIRIOS’ geologists, the track-sampled lithologies probably are strongly altered meta-sedimentary rocks. They were observed over a 15 km-strike length on the KUKAMES property.

An airborne magnetic survey is considered to outline favorable structural traps as drag folds and fold hinges that could host important gold-bearing mineralizations in the favorable unit. Follow-up ground geophysics, trenching, and sampling on the selected geophysical targets may follow.

A total of 19 track-samples of 1.0 meters long each were collected and sent to Val D’Or ALS-CHEMEX to be analyzed for gold (AA23) and 41 elements (ME-ICP 41). All track-samples were sawed perpendicular to the stratigraphy. Four grab-samples were also collected during prospecting and sent to the same laboratory for the same analysis.

The KUKAMES property is wholly owned by SIRIOS and is located 40 km southeast of the Goldcorp’s Eleonore gold deposit.
