MONTREAL, QUEBEC–(CCNMatthews – May 1, 2007) – SIRIOS RESOURCES INC. (TSX VENTURE:SOI) announces the beginning of a 2,000 metre diamond drilling program on the PONTAX silver-gold property following the recent completion of ground and helicopter-borne geophysical surveys.

The 15 hole helicopter-borne drilling program is the first one done on this property. It targets mainly a strong IP (induced polarization) anomaly of more than 2 kilometers in length. This anomaly is centered on the high grade silver-gold showing discovered last fall (ref. : Jan. 22, 2007; Nov. 20 and 15, 2006 press releases) where grades reached up to 821 g/t Ag; 1.31 g/t Au; 0.56% Pb and 0.18% Zn over 4.36 meters at surface including 3,343 g/t Ag; 5.4 g/t Au; 2.3 % Pb and 0.6 % Zn over 1.04 m.

The enlargement of the IP survey over a 6.3 square km area as well as a second 300 square km MAG-EM (magnetometric – electromagnetic) helicopter-borne survey were recently completed permitting the beginning of the diamond drilling. The data interpretation of the helicopter-borne survey is in progress in order to generate additional drilling targets.

The PONTAX property is located in James Bay, Quebec, some 350 km north of the town of Matagami along the paved road going to the town of Radisson.
