MONTREAL, QUEBEC–(CCNMatthews – Oct. 30, 2006) – SIRIOS RESOURCES INC. (TSX VENTURE:SOI) announces a serie of new assays from the high grade silver – gold showing discovered recently on the PONTAX property (ref.: August 24, 2006 press release) as well as the discovery of a second showing. Sixteen grab samples were collected on the discovery outcrop; the metal grades are shown on the following table:

A second showing has been discovered 400 meters away from the first one, at this location, only one grab was collected, it graded: 170 g/t silver, 1.38 g/t gold, 1.57% lead, 3.7% zinc and 1.07% copper. Samples were assayed at the ALS-Chemex Laboratory of Val d’Or, Quebec.

The mineralized zone forming the first showing is of metric width and outcrops over a length of 40 meters; it is open on both sides. As recently announced, an exploration program is being carried out over a 2 sq. km area surrounding the discovery. It includes line cutting, Induced Polarization geophysical ground survey, stripping, channel rock sampling and mapping.

The PONTAX property is located in James Bay, Quebec, 350 km north of Matagami along the paved road going to Radisson. It includes more than 1,500 claims covering more than 800 square km and is explored in partnership with Dios Exploration Inc. (TSX VENTURE:DOS). SIRIOS is actively exploring the Opinaca gold area James Bay, Quebec.
