SIRIOS: Diamond Drilling Program Completed on SAMSON
MONTREAL, QUEBEC, CANADA–Five holes, totaling 1,591 meters, were
diamond drilled on the SAMSON base metal property in order to
check numerous geophysical and geochemical targets, including a
zinc-bearing exhalative horizon (chert) that may be the equivalent
of the Matagami Key Tuffite. This three to five-meters thick
zinc-bearing exhalative horizon (chert) was intercepted in three
new drill holes over a strike length of 800 meters. Down-hole
pulse EM geophysical surveys did not detect significant anomalies.
SIRIOS which may acquire up to a 65% interest in the SOQUEM’s
property (ref.: 10/23/2001 Press Release), will reevaluate in
detail all available data on this property. The property
comprises 350 claims covering 56 square kilometers and is located
some tens of kilometers from Matagami, north-western Quebec.
One of the most active mining exploration companies in Quebec,
SIRIOS, granted Prospector of the Year by the QPA, is a very
dynamic junior with some 24,527,577 Common Shares issued and
outstanding, trading on CDNX under SOI. SIRIOS holds a 24%
