SIRIOS Explores Agressively for Diamonds in the James Bay
Area, Quebec

MONTREAL, QUEBEC, CANADA–SIRIOS RESOURCES INC. has two Diamond
Exploration Projects in Quebec, James Bay area. SIRIOS was one of
the first mining companies actively looking for diamonds in the
Wemindji area, known for its diamond bearing potential. The
SIRIOS Project at Wemindji covers 58 sq. kilometers and is located
in close proximity to the Majescor Wemindji project where results
of 9,000 diamond mineral indicators and numerous angular
kimberlite clasts were released from a glacial sediment sample.
Diamond mines are hosted worldwide in kimberlitic type rocks.

The second diamond project initiated by SIRIOS in Quebec covers
almost 3,000 sq. kilometers of high potential ground also located
in the James Bay area: more than 200 till samples were taken by
Quaternary specialists along systematic cross-sections
cross-cutting the glacial trend. These samples were processed for
diamond indicator minerals and results of the last processing
stage are pending. This project was carried out through funding
from a grant obtained from the Ministère des Ressources Naturelles
du Québec.

Canada is currently known as an emerging worldwide diamond
producer, an active player in the rough diamond industry, actually
experiencing major changes: the eradication of De Beers’ stockpile
overhang, the shift of the CSO (Central Selling Organization) into
the DTC (Diamond Trading Corporation) and recent corporate
acquisitions by De Beers to secure new supply sources denote the
most visible signs. With the production already at full capacity,
and no new output sources likely until 2002, the outlook has never
looked more full of promise for diamond exploration companies with
exploration concessions in geologically promising sectors.

The Precambrian age Superior craton, where are located SIRIOS’
projects, is the world’s largest stable platform of ancient
crustal rocks, and as such, is broadly favourable for kimberlitic
emplacement and diamonds. SIRIOS discovered a clear contrasted
diamond indicator mineral train within the till in Ontario
(01/03/08 press release), a project originally founded on a very
strong indicator mineral anomaly within alluvials (very high
G10/G9 ratio).

One of the most active mining exploration companies in Quebec,
SIRIOS is a very dynamic junior with some 20,389,474 Common Shares
issued and outstanding, trading on the Montreal Exchange under
SOI.
