MONTREAL, QUEBEC–(Marketwire – July 30, 2009) – SIRIOS RESOURCES INC. (TSX VENTURE:SOI) provides an update on the summer 2009 exploration activities taking place on some of its projects in the James Bay area, in Quebec.

GOLD – ESCALE Project:

Prospecting as well as rock and soil sampling were completed on the ESCALE property. A total of 89 rock samples and 196 soil samples are currently being assayed.

GOLD – CHEECHOO Project (Opinaca -Eleonore Area):

SIRIOS is currently revising all the data of all the fieldwork completed to date on the property by partner Golden Valley Ltd. SIRIOS’ geologists are currently focusing on the area adjacent to the Eleonore South property which is held and currently being explored by Goldcorp, Eastmain, and Azimut.

SILVER – GOLD (and other metals) – PONTAX Project:

Till sampling as well as prospecting was undertaken on certain targeted sections of the property. The till sample processing is currently in progress.

MOLYBDENUM (COPPER-GOLD) – TILLY Project:

Detailed mapping work and rock sampling for dating purposes were completed by university researchers as part of a metallogenic study of the TILLY porphyric complex.

GOLD – COPPER – COGNAC Project:

Prospecting fieldwork and geological reconnaissance were completed on the COGNAC property. A total of 114 rock samples were collected and assayed. The 5 highest anomalous samples showed gold grades of less than 0.9 g/t.
