SIRIOS RESOURCES INC. (TSX VENTURE:SOI) announces the final drilling results received from its PONTAX silver-zinc property, James Bay, Quebec. Three main areas located along a 3.4 km portion of the favorable volcanic horizon were defined by the drilling program.

The main area hosts the silver-zinc mineralized zone exposed on surface over a 50 meter length (ref.:01/21/2007; 11/15/2006 press releases) and intersected by all the seven drill holes (#1, 2, 3, 5, 18, 19, 20) located between lines 11E and 13E over a strike length of 200 meters. The zone reaches a minimum vertical depth of 100 meters and its width varies between 1 and 10 meters (width along the drill holes) with an average of 3.2 meters. It seems to split into two zones at both ends. The weighted average metal grades of the zone are : 94 g/t Ag, 0.59% Zn, 0.18% Cu, 0.22 g/t Au and 0.11% Pb. The zone is open at depth and the following table summarizes assays results from west to east (new results in bold):

The second area (L35E — L36E) is located 2.4 kilometers east of the first one where holes #12 and 15 intersected respectively a 1 meter interval grading 8.4 g/t Ag, 1.29% Zn, 1.08% Cu and 0.42 g/t Au and two anomalous zones of 4.5 meters at 1.5 g/t Ag, 0.30% Zn and 3 meters at 2.4 g/t Ag and 0.35% Zn. The third area (L2E) is located one km west of the first one where hole #16 intersected a 1 meter section assaying 5.7 g/t Ag and 0.50% Zn. These anomalous intercepts are interpreted as possibly being the edge of new mineralized zones of more significance with higher metal grades and sizes. They also show the spatial variation of copper and gold content along strike.

Diamond drilling confirmed a significant Ag-Zn-Cu-Au-Pb mineralization system of several kilometers in size along the felsic favorable horizon. Geophysical and geological surveys indicate that this horizon is extending over a 30 km strike length within the property and only a 3.4 km stretch has been tested discontinuously by drilling up to now.

The drilling program included 20 holes totaling 3,108 meters with 15 holes targeting mainly the I.P. (induced polarization) anomaly associated with the main silver-zinc showing discovered in August 2006 by SIRIOS. Ten of the drill holes did not return significant assays results. All half-core samples were sent to ALS-Chemex Val D’Or laboratory, using atomic absorption technique for gold and ICP for all other elements. Industry-standard quality controls were applied, including blank, standard and duplicate inserts in the sample series.

ADDITIONAL WORK COMPLETED ON PONTAX

In addition to the drilling program, a summer field campaign has been completed including detailed geological mapping, lithogeochemistry and prospecting. Geochemical soil sampling (1,338 samples) was also carried out over a 7 km-strike length to outline new targets in non-outcropping areas. A previous soil geochemistry test had confirmed a good response for zinc and lead on the discovery showing. Samples are being presently processed.

SIRIOS’ officers believe that the PONTAX property has a high potential for the discovery of a poly-metallic volcanic massive sulfide (VMS) deposit and that exploration of the property could lead to the discovery of an entirely new silver-zinc district. Additional work, including diamond drilling, is fully warranted on the three main areas outlined by the initial drilling program as well as other targets resulting from the geological, geochemical and geophysical surveys.
