TSX VENTURE SYMBOL: SOI AUGUST 31, 2004 - 10:29 ET SIRIOS: Diamond Drilling in Progress on the Escale Gold Property MONTREAL, QUEBEC, CANADA--(CCNMatthews - Aug. 31, 2004) - SIRIOS announces that a 700-meter diamond drilling program is in progress on the ESCALE gold property (SIRIOS 100%) located 75 km south-east of the LG-4 hydro-electric complex and 30 km south of the Trans-Taiga road, James Bay, Quebec. Through the years, SIRIOS discovered on this property many gold showings distributed over more than 25 km. Previous work included : helicopter-borne EM-MAG geophysical survey, prospecting, geological surveys and diamond drilling. These surveys were followed by regional and detail till sampling programs which detected gold in new areas of the property. As the known gold occurrences did not show a gold signature in till, SIRIOS' geologists believe that the till gold anomalies pointed to more significant gold mineralisation in the bedrock. Diamond drilling will test gold till anomalies as well as geophysical anomalies associated to volcano-sedimentary contacts. The drilling program is carried out under the direct supervision of Dominique Doucet, Professional Engineer and President of SIRIOS.
