DIOS and SIRIOS Staking Significant Areas in the Otish
Mountains Vicinity
MONTREAL, QUEBEC, CANADA–Officers of SIRIOS RESSOURCES INC. and
DIOS EXPLORATION INC. are pleased to announce the staking of more
than 1,000 claims totalling some 53,100 hectares in the Otish
Mountain area, some 200 km north-east of Chibougamau, Quebec.
This new Hotish property, located right in the middle of
Ashton-Soquem and Majescor-Canabrava areas of interest, does
confirm the significance of DIOS in Eastern Canada diamond play.
This Hotish project is located some 60 km south of the 33 Carats
project from DIOS (917 claims covering 47,700 hectares around the
recent Ashton-Soquem discovery of kimberlitic rocks). Indicator
mineral data available on this area of the Superior craton
indicate it is a fertile craton for diamonds.
DIOS holds directly and indirectly more than 124,000 hectares of
high potential ground for diamond discovery with its properties
located in the Superior Craton, Hotish, 33 Carats and Wemindji,
Quebec, and Scholfield, Ontario. A joint prospectus issue of
DIOS and SIRIOS is actually ongoing, offering A units consisting
of 75% shares of DIOS and 25% shares of SIRIOS. Some 80 percent of
these are flow-through shares. Canaccord Capital Corporation is
the underwriter.
DIOS has 3,264,811 shares outstanding held by SIRIOS, 1,972,220 of
these shares to be distributed to its shareholders the day before
listing DIOS’ shares on CDNX (01/09/24 press release).
One of the most active mining exploration companies in Quebec,
SIRIOS, granted Prospector of the Year by the QPA, is a very
dynamic junior with some 20,592,474 Common Shares issued and
outstanding, trading on CDNX under SOI.
