MONTREAL, QUEBEC–(CCNMatthews – Dec. 5, 2005) – SIRIOS RESOURCES INC. (TSX VENTURE:SOI) announces the discovery of gold and copper mineralization on the CHEECHOO Gold project in proximity to Virginia Gold’s ELEONORE property. A group of 27 of 418 rock grab samples assayed between 0.1 g/T and 4.0 g/T gold and up to 1.73% copper. The five highest-grade gold and copper values are from four boulders occuring on the Cheechoo A Block and one other on the Cheechoo B Block. These results come from the first work carried out by partner Golden Valley Mines Ltd. (TSX VENTURE: GZZ) following with the option agreements of the Cheechoo and Sharks SIRIOS’ properties (ref.: Press release February 5, 2005). This fieldwork was based on geophysical airborne surveys outlining conductive rocks.

Altered and sulfurized rocks associated to shears and other structural lineaments, are interpreted to be the sources of the gold and copper bearing boulders. These structures were previously outlined by the March 2005 geophysical surveys on the SIRIOS’ properties. No follow-up sampling of these results has been yet completed on any of these priority areas. Complete results of 440 lake-sediment samples collected earlier during the summer field season are expected imminently. They should confirm these areas and/or target other sectors where gold mineralization is associated to lesser sulfides content.

SIRIOS controls 1,602 claims covering close to 850 square kilometers (210,000 acres) of high potential ground in four projects in the ELEONORE Gold Discovery region : KUKAMES, OPINACA NORD and the ones optioned to Golden Valley Mines : CHEECHOO and SHARKS now known as the CHEECHOO Gold project.

Shareholders and other interested persons are invited to assist to the Annual and Special Meeting of Shareholders of SIRIOS at the Delta Montreal Hotel, Mozart room, Plaza level, 475 President Kennedy Avenue, Montreal, Quebec, at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday December 8, 2005
